Network Speed issue

Hey all,

I have a weird problem. When I ftp from S\server A to server B, I get speeds of around 40 mb/sec. Now when I ftp from server B to server A, I get speeds of around 10 mb/sec. I am wondering what the issue is here. I have tried switching the network cables, the switches but still the same problem.

I am using Slackware 10.2 with the Broadcom Tigon3 Gigabit network card one server A and a Intel gigabit network card in server B.

It always wasn't like this. It just started to slow down this week and I made no changes to the server or network or anything.

Any help would be great.

thanks

Does anybody even have the slightest clue? Even if you think you can help, you could mention it. I am out of ideas.

Thanks
