Network Sharing Problem with Mandrake 8.0 Linux
My Dell Inspiron 2500 laptop has Mandrake Linux 8.0 (very similar to Redhat 7.1). I remember that I had successfully copied files from other Unix machines in the LAN into my laptop before using the secure copy command (scp), but now I don't know what had happened, I can no longer do this any more:
when I try to scp some files into my laptop, it always says "Permission denied" even when I enter
the correct password after the prompt.
I know I need to change the Network Connection Sharing setting, but when I try to config it by using the Mandrake Control Center 0.61, it says
"Unrecognized config file" and that "Config file content could not be interpreted". Could anyone tell me what's wrong with this-- that I can not even change the Network Connection Sharing setting in the Mandrake Control Center??? What can I do to be able to scp files from some other Unix machines
in the LAN into my Linux laptop??
Thanks in advance! :-)
