Exclamation network service hang frequently in all redhat & fedora


Hey guys, I suffering from hangup in the network service of any redhat box ... Sometimes i find that the box does not respond to any network connections even Ping, and when i check it with IFCONFIG i find every thing is ok, When i restart the network service or resart the box the problem vanish.

Any advice?
By the way how can i know the physical ststus of my network card (Cable Plugged or not) remotely .

Sonds like either your NIC is getting shutdown to a sleep mode by some power management or it could be a faulty NIC. I'd start by investigating both cases.
