network reach 255 pcs


what to do when my network have 255 clientsw
is there a way to add additional pc to the network

the network ip is

10.10.10.0 ///255.255.255.0

how would i add additional computers to a network that is already saturated?

if this is in the wrong section then i'm sorry and please move it to the proper one..

I find it EXTREMELY difficult to believe that you have 255 computers networked and talking to each other and don't know how to do this. But anyways, the answer is to get yourself a router with at least 3 interfaces.

Use a higher subnet.

e.g 255.255.0.0

or have two subnets on your network

e,g 192.168.0.1-254
192.168.1.1-254

Having two servers functioning as gateways.....

or two subnets with one gateway (with two network cards) and a routing table :-)

don't be afraid to ask :-)

yes, a gateway pc. And you can route to the net through this, if that's what you intend to do....
