Network link problem

I have a server with Sles 9 and Broadcom 5721 series controller.
When the server is booted with network setting as 100 Full-Duplex Auto Negotiate Off or 1000 Full-Duplex Auto Negotiate Off the network link not detected. But when the server is set with network setting to Auto Negotiate On the network link was detected

I want the "Auto Negotiate" parameter to be off and Speed as 1000 FD

What to do make that setting a success?

afaik you should always autonegotiate for gigabit. It's convention to hardcode devices within a 10/100 environment, but the lower layer protocols used within gigabit ethernet are significantly better than those introduced to differentiate 10mbps from 100mbps many years ago, so you should always use them.
