Angry network interface missing

I recently installed RH7.3 on my box, and for some reason there isn't a eth0 interface. ifconfig only lists loopback. I used 7.2 in the past on the same box, and it succesfully detected my d-Link FE530TX.

The funny thing is that at boot it shows eth0 as being [OK].

Can anyone give me any tips, plz?

Thanks a bunch

I figured it out. For some reason, the ip I entered while installing RH didn't take effect, so I had to re-assign it.

What file keeps the ip config? I'd like to make it permanent, cause right now I have to do ifconfig eth0 x.x.x.x everytime i log in.

Thanks a bunch for the help TrickyKid.
