Network health Monitor, latency, jitter, up/downtime

I am looking to setup a monitor for a few of our gateways. Something like Ping Plotter would be great.
I have tired Nagios - too intensive to setup
I have tired Zenoss but python runs at 95-100% CPU

Both on Ubuntu Server 10.04

Can you recommend an open source like Ping Plotter that can give latency, jitter, MOS score for VoIP?

and or how to use Zenoss without so much system lag?

Thanks

Thanks for the tip I had not seen this one yet. I have installed it and found it much easier but still have to configure and setup in such a way that makes sense.

Any idea how to change the pinging time, rather then every 5min to something more continuous. 5min polling doesn't really give a good idea of network health.

Any scripts for VoIP that work on cacti?

Thanks again
