Network / File download monitoring software ?

Hi there,
Is there any software / program ( fedora 9 compatible) you would recommend for monitoring network connections but emphasis on watching file downloads onto PCs. Basically I would like to view all details, including protocols, ports , full URLs / ftp / remote addresses of files that I am downloading onto my PC.

For example, if I am downloading test.rpm from www.rpmfind.net I would like all port and protocol details including the full url of test.rpm i.e
www.rpmfind.net/fedora9/packages/test.rpm.

Thanks,
Uc

Sure - there are lots of options.

From enterpri$e class packages like Tivoli, to homebrew scripts built around "cron" and "tcpdump".

Take a look here:

'Hope that helps .. PSM

Sure! Regardless of whether lsof is going to help you with your "quest", it's just a good thing to have out of general principles. It's a wonderful troubleshooting tool!
