Hello,
I am going to develop an application for Network Device Management. Please advise me that what are all the applications (Like SNMP) I have to install and how to configure the same.
Kewple,
I had planned to develop an application named "web based Network Monitoring" i.e monitoring the Traffic in LAN etc.... My friend advised me that to do this I have to enable the SNMP & Apache services and some other supporting service/application to go ahead this project. Please advise me how to configure the SNMP & APACHE service and other then this is any other service/protocol is required to carry this project.
you can't honestly expect me to explain to you howto configure apache... there are very heavy books about doing this, you need to read the documentation.
you can't start a project like the one you're describing without already knowing the answers to your questions. it just doesn't make sense. unless of course this is a school project or something and you've been given a brief to fill regardless of your knowledge. Network Management can be so many different things. it is totally impossible to provide a list of requirements. To some people a cron job and a bunch of ping commands is all they need.
