Network connection errors on Fedora Core run as guest system in VMware

Hello! I've been using Linux for about half a year, but this really stumps me:

I've reinstalled Fedora Core 6 as a guest system for VMware (host WinXP).
I can connect to the internet, yum works, but when I try to ping an remote server in the network I get a error saying:
"Destination Host Unreachable" if it was a standard ping and:
"ping: sendmsg: Network is unreachable" if I use ping -v -r.
I can ping computers in my local network, but that's it.

I have no ideea what to do.

Your using the wrong vmware network, you have three one is a bridge to your "Windows XP network", use this one and be on the same "IP (address) network" as the rest of the system(s). It is also a good idea to be on the workgroup or domain.

You might need to set a static IP address in the same range as the rest of your network also.
