network card not getting dhcp info from router


i have suse 9.2 with soyo mb. onboard lan is via vt6120/vt6121/vt6122 gigabit ethernet adapter.......suse recognizes it but it wont go online.. i have used xandros on this machine and it worked fine..what am i missing here.? i tried novell support they dont support 9.2 anymore(big waste of money buying boxed set)

I have the same problem! I had SimpleMepis , and now suse 9.2. Impossible to configure the network No adress for dhcp and no connection with a static adress!
Wait for help!!!
