Network card
 

Hi friends,
I am facing problem with network card.
My laptop is TOSHIBA Satellite 2400, net work card is Intel Pro 100B, It showing inactivate. I tried to activate, but it is faild. Error message is check your cable...

What is the rating on your cable? Is it CAT-5e?
My network cable at work cannot handle 100mb speeds so I had to slow my network card down to 10mb.
I used the mii-tool:
try typing mii-tool -F 10baseT-FD
maybe at least this will give you the satisfaction of seeing your network connection work. Next step then would be to replace your cable or connectors.
