Netword Card Installation Help

I just installed RedHat 9.0 for the first time and the installtion went well except for my network card which is a SMC 8041TX V.2. When I insert the card into my laptop the cards 10/100 Lights up green but when I look for it in the list of hardware or the network setup it does not show up. Are there drivers I need to install to use it.

try insmod pcnet_cs at commnad line

may have to insmod 8390 first.

let me know if this get you anywhere.

thanks for the reply. I got it working right before I read your post , so I never go to try your suggestion. I add some lines topcmcia config file and it worked. Its strange though it my card shows up as a D-Link/Linksys even though I have a SMC, but it works.

Thanks again for the suggestion, now its time to learn the OS.
