I found another thread with this question, but as it was from 2003 I thought I could ask again and maybe somebody knew something now that they didn't know then.
I'm trying to connect to a VPN network from my Ubuntu 5.04 box, but so far I have had no luck. My Win2K box uses NetScreen Remote to connect to the VPN without any problems. So I was wondering if anybody knew what client I should try to use to get on the VPN from my Ubuntu box. I've tried vpnc with gvpn-dialer but to no avail.
Are there any VPN clients compatible with NetScreen Remote? Or a client that communicates with the same network and security protocols? A GUI would also be nice :-)
It might work, but alas, openswan wasn't exactly intuitive to understand .
So if anybody know about an IPSec VPN client that is a bit easier to operate, or alternatively can give me some instructions to get OpenSwan to work towards a NetScreen VPN solution, I would be more than grateful
I'm also very interested to get this working, please, if anyone finds anything out on the subject update this thread.
Does anyone know of specific documentation describing getting OpenSwan playing nicely with netscreen?
I'm also interested in using Netscreen VPN with a Linux client. Netscreen told me a little while ago that they will not be writing a Linux client. Has anyone found a way of getting this working with Openswan or any other VPN client?
Well, it's a year and a half later now. Has anyone solved this problem yet?
I have an XP laptop with Netscreen. It connects to my work prefectly well.
At home, I have an Ubuntu 7.04/AMD64 desktop. I installed kvpnc, openvnc and racoon. I exported the policy from the laptop's Netscreen and imported it in kvpnc. I haven't got lucky so far...
Did you guys have any luck on this issue? I had no luck on setting up VPN tunnel to a Netscreen 5GT. There is the website below, which is well documented, but I could not suceed... my guess is some config issue in the Netscreen side (and as I don't have control of it, turns to be harder to troubleshoot)...
