Hello, here are the results of the three codes. Also I attempted to get results from the script that you linked me to. I put the text file on my linux mint desktop and checked the "execute" check box, clicked on the file and selected "run" but nothing happens. Would it make a difference that I'm running Mint under a live session and not a full install?

Running that script should have produced a file called "wireless-info.txt" in your home directory.
So....if your running Mint Live and it's not installed to the HDD I speculate that it would not show in the Home directory. Look and see.
Hello, sorry that I have not been able to fetch results from that script, I cannot get a wired connection to this computer and the manual no connection procedure does not seem to get me what I want.
I went ahead and set IPv6 to ignore and saved the changes and disconnected and reconnected the trendnet adapter into the usb port afterwards but the issues persisted with no change.

Hi...
The information from the script would be very helpful, so if you can find a way...

Did you reboot Linux after you made the change? That might make a difference.
EDIT: It might be easier to just purchase a more Linux compatible adapter, like the ones mentioned here.
Regards...

Reason: Added information.
I did not try to reboot Linux after the changes because everything resets (to my knowledge) to default every time I restart and boot a live session from the bios. I'll give it another try just to make sure. If I ever get the chance to get a wired connection to get that script I will let you know.
I'll definitely keep my possibilities open for purchasing a more Linux compatible adapter if the time presents itself, thank you for the link. For now I think I'll put my Linux ventures on hold for now. Thanks for the sincere efforts you all put forth attempting to assist me with the situation, it is much appreciated.
