Netgear WG511 freezes

Good morning, I am using a netgear WG511 V2 made in Taiwan. I am using SuSE 9.3 and I have used the update manager(YOU), retrieved and installed the prism54 update. The ISL firmware is in the correct place. When I access the internet the card will access the firts site fine. When I try to access a different site things freeze up, both of the indicator lights are on solid. I can eject the card and reinsert it and it will do the same again. One connection and freeze. I had used this same laptop and card with SuSE 9.2, following the same proceedure of download and install the drivers and it worked great. The card is fine as I can plug it into a windows computer and it will work all day without any problem. I have seen many posts refering to the prism54 site, which is apparently no longer active. Does anyone have a solution or an idea. I have been using an orinoco gold which is ok for the net, but a little slow moving files between computers on my home network.

Only thought non suse based is to download a new kernel from www.kernel.org and compile it with the prism54 module from it.
