i have installed mandrake 7.2 on my system, the installation went fine but 7.2 does not find my netgear FA 311 fast ethernet pci card. i read somewhere that some drivers were left out of the 7.2 build and if this is one of them, how can i go about getting the driver?

thanks

You can either get them from the http://www.netgear.com site or from here http://www.scyld.com/network/ethercard.html . There are some posts previous to yours that pertain to the fa311 card.

Angry FA311

Hello
Trying to set up Red Hat 7 on my desktop, as depressed by windows crashes etc. Had 6.2 on laptop last year, but partition magic trashed my disc, so never really used it. Now have shiny network cards, which work fine in win98, but when running install for 7.0 not detected, so no network setup screen. As a newbie, not sure quite what to do next. Linux says my PCI is not 100% native, and will probe PCI later, but ultimately appears to have recognised the card. should I just install drivers by one of the many methods in the postings, or do I have a PCI problem?
Regards
Jim
