I am in search of a netflow solution that will run on my fedora 6 server. The free ones that I was able to find so far (F.L.A.V.I.O and Stager) were very complicated to configure and ended up not working for various reasons. I have seen a few older posts in this forum discussing a combination of flow-tools + Flowscan + JKFlow. My goal is to have a software that will produce web-accessible graphs and could be configured for additional devices without too much effort. It would be nice if the installation itself is more or less straight forward as I am not a Linux pro (just yet ;)).

Has anyone had any experience with flow-tools + Flowscan + JKFlow or any other free (for corporate use) package that will work with the latest Fedora and will not make me hunt for older versions of prerequisites?

well ntop is about the simplest to install, and is compeltely self enclosed, no dependencies at all. it's not, in my experience, massively reliable, but as ever ymmv.

also depends what volumes you want. manageengine's netflowanalyzer is free for 4 routers i think, and is generally very very good.

There are many tools in the market which analyze NetFlow packets exported from the router and gives traffic information passing through the Network. Reports also can be generated based top application, top conversation on network etc.
