Question Netfilter POM-NG and 2.6.18 kernel issues

Does anyone know if the old Netfilter Patch-O-Matic-NG is still live and kicking? I tried using the Netfilter Extensions howto to grab the cvs version of POM and can't get connected. A few years back I was able to patch my 2.4 kernel adding the ipt_random module for a load balancing router script I wrote. I'm trying to do this again now for the 2.6 kernel and am finding that POM looks like it may have been disbanded or atleast isn't being kept up like it used to (ie. the CVS information in the docs I'm finding are bad).
My first question is does anyone know where to get a recent version of POM-NG for the more recent (or any at this point) 2.6.15 or better kernel versions (I'm trying to do this with FC5)?
My second question, if POM-NG is not going to do what I want (or if it just isn't in use anymore) does anyone know how/if the recent kernels can have the ipt_random module added to them? In some of my research it looked like a kernel-utils rpm package existed for some linux varient that included the ipt_random module. I never did find enough information to determine this for sure though.
Any help on this is greatly appreciated. I can tell it's been way to long since I got out of this stuff and now I'm having a terrible time getting back in. If someone has a better suggestion of how to accomplish this please suggest away as I really need a clue here.
FYI... I'm trying to shotgun two (soon to be more) cable modem connections. My previous 2.4 kernel script allowed me to use the ipt_random module to mark packets so I could route them out a specific interface. If someone has a better suggestion on how to accomplish this without the ipt_random module please let me know!

Thanks,
Thomas Sandquist
