Need to enter connection information twice with samba??
Hi all,
I have a strange problem with a set of computers with Xubuntu 14.04 on it. We have some disks on some remote Windows machines that we mount using SAMBA, each user has his username and password to access to them. The problem is that, when the user tries to access a remote directory (using a shortcut icon I've created on the desktop) and is prompted to enter username, domain and password, it has to do that twice to make it work, the first time simply fails.
I've tried skipping the shortcut and entering directly the information in the textbar of the File Manager using the format:
smb://<domain_name>;<username>@<share_name>:/<directory>
and what I get when I press enter the first time is the error 'Failed to open "File System"' "File does not exist.". If I close the messagebox and I press enter again, everything works perfectly...
I've tried googling a lot but what I found was only related to the configuration of the SAMBA server, which is not involved in this case (the Windows machines are there, and they work fine if we access to them using a Windows client).
Any idea?
Thanks a lot in advance!
