bond0 eth0 00237d22d424 SECONDARY ACTIVE (BLUE Interface) up
bond0 eth1 00237d22d422 SECONDARY INACTIVE (BLUE Interface) up

bond1
Mode: fault-tolerance (active-backup)
Status: up

Bond Name IFace MAC Address Interface Status Cable Information Link Status
--------- ------ ------------ --------- -------- ----------------- -----------
bond1 eth4 00237d37beae SECONDARY ACTIVE (BLUE Interface) up

What is this output?? Blue interface?? there are NO other hits on the web for the output you've provided. Never heard of "bonding_status" as a command, is this some internally written script?

If you're running RHEL then you should have commercial support, and one thing they don't support is upgrading of the OS across major release versions. You should not want to do this upgrade, you should rebuild the system from scratch if this system is worth running RHEL on in the first place.
