need help with xdm remote desktop
Here's my problem,
I have installed redhat linux 9.0 on my AMD pc. I have the same set up at work, and it works fine. I connect to Linux from windows, through exceed to pull remote desktops. I can't get it to work at home, I have done a stare and compair on /etc/X11/xdm/Xaccess, and am set for a graphical greeting. I unremarked the line that says "any host can get a window". This is all I have had to change on the system at my work. i can ping the linux machine, and can pull a telnet session. I have disabled all my firewall, and added the windows pc to the host file. I didn't think it would help, but I am out of ideas. When I try to connect I am doing a XDMP query to the ip number so it can't be a DNS problem. Does anyone have any ideas. Thanks, in advance for any help! Todd |
Found my problem, thought I would share it, had to set XDMCP Enable=true in /etc/X11/gdm/gdm.conf.
Works find now.. Thanks anyway Todd |
