Hope this is the right section, but im having a little trouble with getting this right... Basically I love slackware, and I want to use it on a box I have as a router. I've used other distros specifically for routing but id like to have my own, straight up, simple router. THe problem is im not quite sure what exactly it is I need to do. Ive read some howto's, like ipchains, etc... etc... but I need more detailed step by step help, from installation, to installing what packages and when, along with configuration, and sample scripts... I cant seem to find help like this anywhere, so im hoping someone here could help me along...
Id like to keep this minimal, so ive installed slackware 9, with the A, D, and N, packages, and ive gone even further to manually select what packages I want. This is still kind of a large 80MB so if you know how I can get this even smaller, prefferably 10MB or smaller that would be great.
So ya, first off I guess would be how can I get a very minimalistic install of slackware. Any version, as long as it has an up-to-date kernel.
Id appreciate any, and all of your comments... thanks
