Need help in setting up FTP server or NSF for Suse 8.1

I need help in setting up a FTP or NSF server for SUSe8.1. We are in a Domian enviourment, lets call it BOB and we would like to set it up that we access files from the net safely. Of course we are behing a firewall (Watchguard) and I would assume we would open a dedicated port for access.
Could someone walk me through this?
Or could you point to a site that might have easy instructions to follow(please no M$ white papers which is reams of crap but never tell you how to do it).

If your FTP server is behind a firewall and it needs to be accessible from the outside world, you need to configure Destination Network Address Translation on your Watchguard firewall. I've got no idea how to do this for that particular firewall.
