Need help getting dhcp client request to server.


Edit: Nevermind, I worked around it... everything is good.



I got a pretty simple question and the answer is probably right under my nose, but every search I do turns up nothing related to my needs. If it was a snake I'd be bit by now.

I am trying to to fix my broken Xserver so I can't get to the KDE control panel. I was needing to configure my eth1 wireless from init 3 to download from the net. I got the commands:

iwconfig eth1 ssid MyLan
iwconfig eth1 mode Managed
iwconfig eth1 channel 6

I used "dhclient" but got no DHCPOFFERS. What am I doing wrong or not doing?
