need help connecting two systems running elive to the internet

hey i need help i have two systems a desktop and a labtop my labtop has wireless and a network card and my desktop has a net work card both are running the same os debian based elive 0.6.9 any help would be apreicated i want to connect them both two the internet and for file sharing thanks to any one who can help very srry for the spelling thanks XR011

Well, not much information there! Do you have a router that you could plug them both into? Or do you expect to use the wireless on one and "piggyback" the wired on off of it, ie- they're not physically close to the wireless router?

i do intend to piggback if possible the router is about 50 feet from the systems it wouldnt be possible to connect them to the router
