need help


dear all members

i lately installed suse linux vesion 9 but i can't log on to the internet although i can get in to the workgroup computers

in the network card configuration it shows not detected
i have a dsl connection my net work card is D-Link DFE-530TX

1. Do you have DHCP for assignment of IP addresses for using the internet or is it manual?

2. Have you entered the DNS Server IP address in the Network Tools / Application?

i did all that but it still doesn't detect any network card
the browser shows a message ( no host name ) for any sit i try to open

If

ifconfig -a
on a console as root.
And no nic shows up. You will probably have to fix this 1st.
I don't know that D-Link DFE-530TX.
And I need Help so everybody ... is not a good choice for a Thread
Subject.

Maybe this driver works.
After you extracted it there is a good install.txt in it.
