Exclamation Need guidance drawing network diagram !!


Hi all,
I want to draw network diagram by analysing traffic flow in my network ,for example :: user->switch->firewall->router->web,something like this. How can I do this?

Are you looking for something automated? For general diagrams I use Inkscape.

Dia has all the symbols you need. There's a bit of a learning curve, but it's my preferred tool for tasks of this nature. It's available not just for *nix, but also for Windows and Apple. You can export the output to an image for inclusion in documents.

You could probably also use Draw in LibreOffice or OpenOffice, but I'm not sure whether it includes the necessary symbols for a network diagram out of the box.
