Need a SLIP server (Serial Line Internet Protocol)

I have two PCs:
- PC1 with Ubuntu 10.4
- PC2 with DOS & Windows 3.11

They are connected by a serial null-modem cable. I used the PC2 as serial terminal, but now i wanna connect it to my LAN.

I think the SLIP is what i need.

How can I make my PC1 a SLIP server?

Thank you in advance for any reply.

Thank you for the reply.

I read that tutorial, but I recently found a more recent howto.
http://http://www.ott.net/knowledge/tcpip-nullmodem/

Unfortunately it doesn't work. I installed Trumpet Winsock on the pc2 and I configured it with the SLIP settings...

But the PC2 still cannot ping the PC1...

------------EDIT------------
Now it can ping it!

How can I enable the IP forwarding in the Ubuntu pc?

i tried

echo "1" > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward

and

iptables -t nat -A POSTROUTING -o sl0 -j MASQUERADE

but the DOS pc still cannot reach the internet....

Don't care about the nameserver: I cannot reach the internet even with the ip address.

The gateway is the Ubuntu Pc.

Perhaps I have to make a bridge between sl0 (the serial interface) and eth0?
