Why do you use squid at all. In your case you want your users to be allowed access to each and every website. That means open access to all the content on the Internet. I think the best and most efficient way to achieve that is set your box up as a router so that it forwards everything. Even if you want to apply restrictions later on, you can do that by using iptables. Moreover setting up your box as a router and running a DHCP server would allow your users to connect to the Internet without any configuration at all, which would save you lots of support calls.

However, if you insist on using squid and and also want your users to be at ease i.e. the users don;t have to do any configuration then you can setup whats called transparent proxy. That would be a combination of squid and some iptables rules and is a nice way to control things if you like to be working with squid. For more information you can look at the transparent proxy howto at http://www.tldp.org.

There is no apparent reason why the clients shouldn't be able to access the website. As yousaid there is no rule in iptables blocking access to the website. May be the website was unavailable for sometime?
