Sorry, no ns2 seems to work in Ubuntu 11.10 .

If it must be Ubuntu, then version 10.04(.x) is
generally OK for all ns-2.27 ... ns-2.34 .

The "Default ns2 OS" is CentOS 5.7 :
All ns2 versions were built and tested on CentOS / RHEL.

CentOS /RHEL is based on Fedora.

Any version can be used. A supported one should be preferred.
Suggest Fedora 15.
CentOS 6.1 is based on Fedora 12, not much difference.
So why not use CentOS 6.1 ? ?

.

Hi every one
I tried to install ns2.34 in 11.10 but it seems that there is a problem
I reinstall ubuntu 10.4 and reinstall ns2.34 but I have another problem
can any body help me to zoom my topology in the nam interface
I'm simulating a simple example but it seems that all nodes and links are condensed in the same place
when my ubuntu upgrade to 11.4, I have no problem to zoom but since it upgrade automatically to 11.10, I have had this famous problem and by reinstalling ubuntu 10.4, I don't have any more the possibility to zoom can any one help me (without upgrading to 11.4 or 11.10) thinks
regards

for example: if you want to add a node with a label U1
than you can use this syntaxe:
set node_1 [$ns node]
$node_1 label U1

and when you click in order to start the simulation the label will appear
regards
