Nagios with snmptrapd

can anyone help me? I have installed Nagios Version 3.0rc1 and SNMP Trap Translator ...
when I run snmpwalk, it always replys me with " No Response from 172.168.14.41"....
I would like to ask what should I set so that I can receive snmptrap from a switch? As I am a beginner of Linux and Nagios... please try to help me~ Thanks!!!
