Unhappy mynewslink

Hello,

I have an irritating problem with my network and I cannot find a way to solve it. Googling shows only some remarks in the Brazilian language (which doesn't make sense to me since I'm native Dutch).

The problem is: since I use a wireless network on my Mandriva LE 2005 distribution, I get linked to a site called mynewslink dot com .
This happens now and then when I either type an address or click on a link inside a page. It happens both in Firefox as well as in Konqueror.

This is not normal, I presume. I would have expected some kind of error message when a page temporarily can not be found or when traffic is too slow, because I think that is the trouble.

Oh, and blocking the mynewslink dot com site doesn't help at all...

Can anybody help me?

(oh, and what kind of irritating problem is it not being able to refer to sites when you haven't posted a thing yet........ )

Ok, just a shot in the dark... do you by any chance have that site in your bookmarks or as your home page? Or maybe another shot in the even darker dark... do you have another connection point near you that you're tumbling into?

Sorry I couldn't help, since I probably couldn't =(
