My Firefox could not be connected


My firefox could not be connected to internet, whatever site I go, there is no connection. What's wrong ?

can you ping any site?
is there an nameserver listed in your /etc/resolve.conf
do you use a router?

Pretty much anything could be wrong... I'd go to http://www.tldp.org read the networking howto's and other relevant documents. Also check out your distributions users guide to see if it has a chapter devoted to networking: most of them do.

If you already have done all this, please be more precise so that people can help you better. As I said, there are dozens of different reasons why Firefox refuses to connect to the Internet.
