Must winbindd run on linux box client on network with samba ldap server configured as PDC?

Does winbindd must run on linux box client on network with samba ldap server configured as PDC.

30 days & no replies -- would this do better in "Linux - Networking"?
You can report your own post to ask the mods to move it.

BTW, did you Google, & did you RTM?
My impression is that your answer MAY be "yes".

In the bottom right corner of your post there should be 3 buttons: "Report", "Edit", & "Quote" -- click "Report" & make your request.
