Must be something simple !!
Hi
I have set up a new PC with Fedora Core 2. It connects to a cable modem using dhcp. Only one network card - so as simple as can be.
The dhcp is working as I have an IP address and resolv.conf has picked up the isp's nameservers.
BUT - I can't connect to the internet. It just hangs. I thought it was a resolve issue, but doing a dig on a url gives me the IP (and the fact it was translated by the isp's nameserver).
Put in an IP into the browser instead of the url and it does exactly the same.
"Connecting to...." and then eventually fails.
Have turned the firewall off too - and still no joy.
Can quite happily ssh into the box across the net - just can't get out.
