multiple outbound vpn shorewall kernel 2.6
Question for everyone. I've read SEVERAL posts on this and everyone says it works for them, but it just does NOT work for me. Here's my scenario:
Running Fedora Core 1 kernel build 2.6.13
Shorewall 2.4.2 installed
iptables 1.3.3 installed
latest patchomatic patches (08/14/05) installed
ipfwd installed
I've followed the instructions to allow multiple outbound vpn connections by installing and compiling the new patches, and configuring the firewall for ports 1723 and 47. However it still does not work. I have been reading about using masquerading because it's required but I have yet to find a detailed how-to guide for doing this. the shorewall vpnmasquerading how to pages are incredibly confusing and talk about patches that either don't exist anymore or don't work, even on the older kernels. I'm somewhat of a linux newbie, so does anyone know of a guide or can give me a complete walkthrough for setting up the system to allow for multiple outbound vpn connections behind the shorewall firewall? I'm totally confused at this point. I'm to the point where I can't compile anything because of "permission denied" error messages and the rsh_info incomplete type errors. I'm going to blow the system away and start from scratch but a guide would be very useful! Any help is greatly appreciated!
