Multiple connection VPN on Linux?
Hi All,
before I delve into this complex question, let us first look at the setup and hardware: 1 x Celeron 400 Mhz Machine (96 MB RAM). NO GUI. command-line-only This machine is running SuSE Linux professional 9.2 (no GUI) 1 x Netgear MR 814 Router 3 x Windows 2000 / Xp clients on the same LAN 1 x Windows XP machine form the outside (external IP) OK, the task at hand: I wish to set up this linux machine so that its SOLE PURPOSE (repeat: 1 and only SOUL purpose) is to allow more than one incoming VPN connection. What I wish to acheive is create a VPN network so 3 people form inside the house, and a freind who lives in a different city can all play C& C G ZH. So think of this machine (the linux one) as a "VPN server" so to speak. As I have mentioned, we do have a router in place, but port-forwarding should not be a problem. Now, since I do not own a copy of Windows NT Server 4 (which is probably all that machine cna handle in terms of a windows server). is there a Linux Alternative to this? Essential;ly here is what I am after: I need a FOR DUMMIES (repeat: for DUMMIES) guide from A to Z tp set up a VPN server in linux that can handle MPRE THAN ONE incoming connection. |
wow
try www.google.com/linux <---- type there VNC server (optionally for me and my friends to play C&C)
