Multicast Setup/eth1 setup

Slackware 8

How would I go about adding or utilizing MULTICAST on a network card?

Also, if I have 2 NICs in a box, but only one was detected on installation, how would I go about installing drivers/setting up eth1??

What I'm trying to do is setup a DHCP server to serve IP addresses to my network.

Multicast usually gets set automatically for a network card. As long as you have enabled the options multicast when building the kernel. You can check with 'ifconfig -a' to see if it is enabled. Should have the word MULTICAST if it is enabled. You can also force it on or off using the ifconfig tool.

For setting up the second network card there are many howto's on how to set up a network card. You can search this site too since this question has been answered many times.
