Angry MSN Messenger


hello.


i have a linux machine used as router i configured it and internet works but msn messenger stops verry often then it says that i dont have a connection to the internet but its realy there then i have to reconnect my self to msn messenger


i have already flussed my ipchains

the only rule if added is

ipchains -A forward -j MASQ -s 192.168.1.0/24 -d 0/0

how can this happen

can someone help me?

What client are you using?
gaim and aMSN both work fine for me, through a router.

Have you got a list of which ports MSN needs to open? For file transfers and Hotmail checking too?

KMess works here with the firewall settings of Guarddog

just downloaded at www.msn.com and running on my win xp pc and connected to the linux server

AH, i think the simple answer is to download Gaim from http://gaim.sourceforge.net/

Gain doesn't solve the problem i still get kickt out msn and ico al the time!~
