I have a MRTG/SNMP monitoring set to monitor our network throughput in our L3 switch. Our system do show the graph which displaying our network traffic in and out on each port switch, but unfortunately, it's not the same as the numbers i can grab from using bmon monitor tool ! ( a reliable monitor tool, in my opinion )
In other hand, when i set up MRTG/SNMP to monitor network traffic over our server NICs, it work well and give me an precise number of throughput ( once again, in comparison with bmon output )
I'm using centOS 5.3 and set up MRTG/SNMP follow this guide:
http://www.cyberciti.biz/nixcraft/li...features/mrtg/
In case of setting my mrtg/snmp, i've just followed step 5 and replaced the public@localhost with my switch'IP. I'm using Level 1 GSW 2495. I did try to do with the cisco one but it couldn't help.
Is there anyone here encountered the problem like me or give me any ideas about this issue?
Many thanks !
