Exclamation mrouted problem

A collegue and I are working on a project called "Mulitast-Videoconferecing".
One of our goals is it to make a Multicast-Videoconference between two Lans over the Internet using a tunnel. Now we have some questions/problems and we hope that you can help us.
1. In each Lan there is a Unix-Multicastcomputer which runs mrouted. Each multicastcomputer gets a private ip-address:
- (multicastrouter at the Joanneum)
- (multicastrouter at home-lan)
The question now is how does the configuration file mrouted.conf look like on each multicastrouter because the lans are to the outside only with one public address present?
tunnel <intern-ip> <extern-ip> <metric x> <threshold x>
Do I have to put unter <extern-ip> the public ip-address of the lan or is a VPN a solution for routing the private addresses of the lans?

2. Which ports have to be opened at the firewall so that the mrouted daemon can send unicast packets through the firewall?
