mounting w2k shares in fstab

Hi

I want to mount a few w2k shares i have in linux. I can access the shares fine through knonqurer using smb://192.168.1.1

now i want to mount them within the filesystem at startup. I edited the fstab file but got errors relating to invaild share? This is what i entered into my fstab

//192.168.1.1/ftp /mnt/w2kftp smbfs username=graeme password=xxxxx

i have two w2k shares that i want to mount in this way.

i do have dns configured but for this purpose thought leaving the ip was fine.

Anyone know what the correct commands are to mount the share?

cheers

G

Close but no cigar :-)

in /etc/fstab you wrote:
//192.168.1.1/ftp /mnt/w2kftp smbfs username=graeme password=xxxxx

it should read:
//192.168.1.1/ftp /mnt/w2kftp smbfs username=graeme,password=xxxxx 0 0

notice the comma betwaan username and password.
further you need the 2 zeros at the en dof the line.
The indicate at what time a filesystem should be checked for errors and stuff.

If you want to know more about the zeros man fstab is your friend.

Have Fun!
