mounting /usr/local on nfs mount

Hi all
I need to use /usr/local to be mounted on an nfs mounted drive. We are using cyrus-imap server and a whole bunch of other softwares using data from /usr/local. My current installation is below

* machine-A machine-B & machine-C
* machine-A is the nfs server, machine-B and C are the cyrus servers.
* Mounted /usr/local of machine-B and C on the nfs drive on machine-A.

All works fine but when i add users in cyrus on machine-B or C it gives me error

Ccreatemailbox: System I/O error

all the permissions/users on the nfs server and the client machines is the same and in rw mode.

What can be wrong.

from the cyrus imap server FAQ:
Quote:

Using NFS We don't recommend it. If you want to do it, it may possibly work but you may also lose your email or have corrupted cyrus.* files. You can look at the mailing list archives for more information.
