mount ntfs

hi, I have installed NTFS to my fedora system.
If I loged as root, then all drivers are mounted automatically, but if I loged as normal user it is not mounted. I have to go to command prompt, change to root and then have to mount. then only i can access the NTFS partitions. Is there any way to this happen automatically while I am login?

Add an entry to your /etc/fstab for each partition.

How are you mounting the drive - from the command line or through fstab?

I do like this..
Code:
mount /dev/sda1 ~/myname/windisk
Thank Nylex, I will try as you told.

If you use fstab you will need a different mountpoint - something /mnt/windisk. There are ways around this, but probably not worth the effort

I created a windisk directory alongside my home folder and mounting it inside that now. It is also directly showing the Label and icon in my desktop as it is in windows xp. So if I mount using fstab should i need to creat a directory inside /mnt/ ?

You can put it where you like. Unless you want to get into auto mounting and so on, fstab will always mount at the same point - it won't vary by user. /mnt is the standard place to moutn volumes, but you don't need to put it in there. It's better to create a subdirectory un /mnt in case you want to mount something else later.

Perhaps create a link from each home directory to the actual mount pount for easier access. See "man ln"
