mount cifs/nfs across multiple servers

I have a question about mounting a windows share (//windowshare/folder to /glassfish/logs/app) that we have an application on glassfish writing to the share. It is mounted cifs rw. We are also wanting to mount this to a samba nfs ro. I can get it to mount fine to the glassfish server the application is on, however, when I try to mount (/glassfish/logs) to the samba server (log server) I do not see the data in the /app directory.

Is it something to do with the cifs rw to nfs ro?
