MOSIX Cluster Confusion

Has anyone managed to get a MOSIX cluster of any size working on any Linux distro?

The installation is pretty strait forward, but the compile of the MOSIX enabled kernel seems to toast my NIC configurations. Even when I go back into the kernel and enable my specific NIC and recompile, no luck.

I have tried installing on both Mandrake 8.1 and Red Hat 7.1 systems. My NIC's are RTL8139.

Thanks for any advice or pointers.
