More on Virtual Name Servers

I'm using MD 9.0 right now and I can never get the Named Virtual Server to work. I do control my own DNS and other registered names are pointing to my server but they either crashes Apache or quit working or can not restart Apache-I have tried since 8.2 MD most problems I mentioned are associated with that. I also have Webmin installed for easy configuration or edit manually. I have read it here someone got it working and I wonder which dist. he used thinking it really shouldn't matter. 9.0 MD does not use 2.X Apache yet. I need more input to get it working, I think.

Thanks

Did you read the Virtual hosting documentation from Apache's site ?

U are so nice for such fast reply. What I need is someone to hold my hand and talk me through this- lol. I have read everything from Apache to other forums and I can not get it to work on Mandrake 8.2 or 9.0. I'm using 9.0 now. Even in this forum, I found an example and try to use it and it crashes Apache. Did Mandrake added anthing to their distribution to be hardened and thats why I can't get it to work for a beginner like me? Are there more changes need to be made on the Apache.conf?

Thanks again.
