Monitoring a dialup modem connection

Hi, can anyone recommend a good app for monitoring the activity of a modem (dialup connection)? More specifically I would like to get some basic information such as the number and frequency of packets that are going to and from my machine while I am connected. Most of the apps I have seen seem to be geared towards ethernet.

Cheers
