modules for wireless usb adapter won't load?

Normally after enough time I can figure everything out but I'm at a loss here. I moved my Debian server to another room so can't use eth0 to router anymore. Very sick of Windows ICS to this computer. Bought a usb wireless adapter and can not get it working. :( I think I'm having trouble loading the module. wiki.debian.org/WIFI doesn't get into modules much...

Any suggestions? Please let me know if more info is needed...

rtl8192u and rtl8192cu chipsets are know to cause problems on linux I could never get my wn8200nd running (which uses a rtl8192 chipset), anyway maybe you should check this: https://github.com/pvaret/rtl8192cu-fixes
Have a nice day!

I will look into your link for more help...

https://github.com/diederikdehaas/rtl8812AU seems to be the best driver for this wireless adapter. I can see the adapter now in ifconfig.

Now the trouble is WICD won't authenticate with my router =/

Run the following and let us know what you get, in a terminal
Code:

sudo lsmod | grep 8192

Sorry, I got that wrong. I see you eventually settled for rtl8812au and the device shows up in ifconfig. So just ignore what I said.
